Any person using a computer with the intention of gaining access to any program, information or data contained in a computer without obtaining any authorization from the owner or person in charge of that computer or, even in the case of obtaining authorization, to any program, information or data other than authorized. If he commits any act with the intention of gaining access, he will be punished with a fine up to two lakh rupees or imprisonment up to three years or both, depending on the seriousness of the offence.
